Terms of employment:

Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week, overtime not applicable)

Job duties:

§   Configuring and developing industrial computer network systems for HMI and PLC systems;

§   Optimizing the facilities’ process control systems as well as improving reliability of the process systems;

§   Supervising and performing HMI, VFD and PLC programming;

§   Performing field startup tasks;

§   Coordinating instrumentation calibration and maintenance support;

§   Supporting the operations and maintenance groups during normal and abnormal plant operation;

§   Updating CAD drawings for process and instrumentation diagrams;

§   Maintaining equipment and/or process related software;

§   Participating in an on-call system designed to provide resources to production team during off hours; and

§   Other duties assigned and consistent with the role.


Wage of $31.25 (annual salary of $65,000); 40 hours per week subject to job requirements; work hours may change without notice; annual salary review


Annual Incentive Plan (approximately 10% bonus) subject to both company and individual performance;

Skill requirements:


College diploma or university degree in Instrumentation Technology or Electrical Engineering


A minimum of two (2) years’ experience with process control and instrumentation is required;

Experience working at an Oriented Strand Boards Plant or similar manufacturing facility is required;

Experience working with specific smart field devices and systems, Allen Bradley CLX (motion control), and PLC5 PLCs, VFDs and instrumentation, including control valves, process analyzers, flow, pressure and temperature transmitters, as well as PID and tuning controls is required;

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, oral and written communication skills are necessary.
